firstPursuit strives to follow the example Jesus set. He gathered together a group of men to follow Him, to spend time with Him, to learn from the example of His life and teaching, and to explore what it means to be in relationship with God and with each other.

Jesus’ concern was not with programs to reach the multitudes, but with men whom the multitudes would follow. Men were His method of winning the world to God. His method hasn’t changed and His mission continues…to draw men into vital, life-giving relationships with Himself and with each other.

To influence men for God through the building of Christ-centered relationships and, in time, encourage them to go and do the same.

• influence: To draw men into vital, life-giving relationships with God and each other by reaching out to men where they are through experiences that are fun, adventurous, and life-changing, earning the right to share with them the Good News of a relationship with Jesus Christ.
• build: To walk beside men, helping them grow in their love for Christ, their love for each other, and the knowledge of God's Word. To help men become the ones they were created to be.
• encourage: To help men know, pursue, and fulfill their God-given purpose. To help men pass on to the lives around them the Good News of a relationship with Jesus Christ
